Before the operation, drugs that will cause or increase bleeding should be avoided. If you are a smoker, you should avoid smoking about 3-4 weeks before the surgery. The hair can be dyed at least a week before the procedure because it cannot be dyed for a month after the procedure. Having long hair will be suitable for hiding dressings.
After Neck Lift Operation
Although neck lift surgery seems to be a very easy procedure, there are situations that should be considered after the surgery. If these conditions are not taken into account, some problems may arise. After the operation, the doctor will give some recommendations. By applying these suggestions, it will both accelerate the healing process and benefits from a more painless process.
- The patient will be discharged 2 days after the operation. It is useful to use sunglasses after discharge.
- For six months, you should use sunscreen and a hat.
- After surgery, you should start using skin care products about two weeks
- If the neck area is not moved too much, the feeling of pain will be less.
- One day after the surgery, the drains placed in order to prevent the collection of fluids behind the ear are removed.
- The healing process can be accelerated by making an cold compress after the surgery.
- The stitches on the face are removed in the week after the surgery. On the 10th day, the metal sutures in the hair are removed.
- You can take a bath 2 days following the operation.
- Two days following surgery, you can take a bath.
- When combing your hair and applying makeup, you should be gentler.
- Following surgery, alcohol should be avoided for one month.
- For around two months, you should refrain from using the sauna and steam room.
- One month after the operation, a check-up is required.
- In order to prevent the accumulation of blood on the skin in the neck area, the drains inserted during the surgery are removed 2 days later and discharged.
